KEYES has chosen a new location at Rives Ardentes
KEYES confirms its intention to establish its future Belgian headquarters in the Rives Ardentes district, in the immediate vicinity of Ethias’ new headquarters, through a new real estate project designed to meet new ways of working and the highest environmental standards.
After several months of in-depth analysis, KEYES has decided to abandon its redevelopment project for the former Coronmeuse ice rink. The company concluded that the technical constraints of the existing building, the transformation costs and the implementation timeline no longer allowed the initial project under consideration to be pursued with confidence. KEYES also underlines the importance of developing a project capable of bringing together and gaining the support of local residents and stakeholders.
For KEYES, the future building will represent far more than just a workspace. The new development will become KEYES’ Belgian headquarters, a place intended to welcome several thousand employees and embody the company’s image for the general public, its clients and partners. Designed as a modern, sustainable and collaborative working environment, it will also help strengthen KEYES’ attractiveness.
The choice of Rives Ardentes fully reflects this vision. Located on the banks of the River Meuse, within an urban area undergoing major transformation, the site meets KEYES’ expectations in terms of soft mobility, accessibility by public transport and proximity to major road networks. The quality of the surroundings, together with the immediate presence of shops and services, will contribute to the daily well-being of employees.
“The proximity of Ethias’ headquarters also opens up concrete opportunities for pooling resources and developing shared services, in line with the group’s ambition to optimise its working environments. Furthermore, the future building aims to become a benchmark in terms of energy and environmental performance. KEYES intends to develop a flagship project incorporating the most demanding international standards in sustainability, comfort and quality of working life, notably through certifications such as BREEAM and WELL.”
Philippe Lallemand – Chairman of the Board of Directors of KEYES
This new location will fully contribute to the urban regeneration dynamics currently underway in the area, which today lies at the heart of a major sustainable development programme and the renewal of Liège’s urban landscape.
KEYES will shortly submit a planning permission application for this new project.
