KEYES and TUMO: a partnership to prepare for the future
Technological developments have never moved so quickly, profoundly transforming our society and the way we work. To ensure that everyone benefits from this evolution, it is essential to give young people the motivation, knowledge and confidence they need to play an active role in shaping it.
At KEYES, we firmly believe that investing in young people, education and skills development is one of the most strategic choices we can make as a society.
It is this conviction that led us to support TUMO Liège.
Developing the essential skills of tomorrow
Active in several countries around the world, TUMO is an innovative and entirely free extracurricular learning programme for young people aged 12 to 18. Its mission is to empower a new generation to develop skills in creative and digital technologies through a practical, collaborative and project-based approach.
As artificial intelligence transforms the way we learn and work, distinctly human skills are becoming more essential than ever. The ability to collaborate, work independently, exercise sound judgement, think critically, challenge established assumptions and continuously learn is vital in an ever-changing environment.
TUMO’s approach is specifically designed to develop these skills, going far beyond the ability to use technological tools. It encourages young people to experiment, solve problems, learn from their mistakes and take a critical view of the world around them.
As the programme is entirely free, these learning opportunities are accessible to all young people, regardless of their background or financial circumstances. TUMO helps to broaden their horizons, uncover talent, inspire future careers and enable everyone to find their place in tomorrow’s digital society.
“As a business leader in a constantly evolving sector, I am convinced of one thing: education is the most valuable legacy we can offer our young people.
At a time when artificial intelligence is transforming the way we work, we need, more than ever, a generation that can continuously learn, collaborate, exercise judgement and challenge its assumptions. A generation that is engaged, caring, curious and open to the world.
That is why we are delighted to support TUMO: a collaborative initiative that is accessible to everyone and will give thousands of young people the tools they need to shape the future.” Laurence Mathieu, CEO of KEYES
Creating lasting value together
At KEYES, we choose our partnerships based on the value we can create together.
In doing so, we build bridges between businesses, public institutions, economic stakeholders, academia, research, education and innovation.
Our ambition is to be a driving force within Belgium’s digital ecosystem, mobilising our partners, resources and expertise to advance collective progress.
Because major societal challenges cannot be addressed alone, we believe in the power of ecosystems and collective action.
Our partnership with TUMO fully reflects this approach. It builds bridges between the business world, education and new generations. In doing so, it helps to inspire future careers and build a more effective, inclusive and sustainable digital society.
